More than a third (34%) of companies said they planned to use co-location data centres to support their growth plans – up significantly from 19% in 2022, according to Equinix’s latest Global Tech Trends Report.

This shift in data centre strategy can be seen as an indicator that companies are looking to align their infrastructure to meet shifting business goals, including moving into new markets.

On 24 January, TechFire, in association with Equinix, will address how to manage such growth by asking the burning question: ‘What’s getting in the way of your digital expansion plans?’

The one-hour session will explore how companies can tailor IT infrastructure at national and international levels.

Joining TechCentral.ie editor and TechFire moderator Niall Kitson will be joined by John O’Donoghue, senior global solutions architect at Equinix, and Thanos Chatzis, head of technology, infrastructure, with Kaizen Gaming.

“It’s comforting to think we have arrived at a stable ‘new normal’ but successful digital transformation demands we be in a constant state of change,” said Kitson. “I look forward to hearing from our guests on 24 January about their experiences of digital as we enter the middle of the decade.”
