IT distributor Westcoast is celebrating 30 years of trading. Founded by chairman Joe Hemani in a garage in Reading in 1984, the company has become billion pound business, employing more than 1,200 staff.
Westcoast’s product portfolio ranges from desktop PC and notebook products through to server solutions, network products, printers, peripherals, spare parts and consumables.
The group sells to resellers, retailers and dealers in the UK and Ireland providing credit, marketing and logistics services to over 5,000 customers.
In 2006, Westcoast opened its Irish operation where it currently employs 30 people and was named distributor of the year at the 2013 ICT Excellence Awards and at the Tech Excellence Awards this year.
Hemani was individually recognised for his pioneering work and was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for London and South. He now advances to a national final.
