Viatel has added points of presence from Telehouse Metro in London and Paris Equinix 4 to its fibre backbone network.
The additional sites will join Viatel’s existing 150 points of presence, spanning across Western Europe with direct reach into cities such as London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris and Zurich. The new London and Paris sites are key access points to the Viatel network and enable customers to take advantage of Viatel’s connectivity, voice, data centre and cloud services portfolio.
The investment follows a stream of recent developments by Viatel, including a significant infrastructure project between Milan and Marseille capable of delivering broadband speeds up to 100Gb/s.
