Tech Excellence Awards opens for entries
Entries have opened to the 2024 Tech Excellence Awards in association with IP Telecom. This year’s gala event returns to the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire on 23 May.
This year sees the addition of three new awards reflecting the changing trends in the technology sector. The digital consultancy of the year recognises the companies making a difference by applying expertise at every stage of the product lifecycle, from ideation to marketing.
Also new this year is the emerging technology innovation award for advances in the fields of artificial inteligence, mixed reality, nanotechnology, networks and everything else on the bleeding edge.
Making a return to the running order is the multinational of the year award, marking the contribution of international companies to improve standards of education, training and make a significant contribution to the cultural and economic development of Ireland.
Shena Brien, CEO of title sponsor IP Telecom, said: “IP Telecom is delighted, once again, to be associated with the Tech Excellence awards as part of our long-term association. Each year, changes in technology present new challenges – allowing the Tech Industry in Ireland to create new, innovative solutions.
“We are proud to be part of celebrating this success where technology meets business in resolving the challenges that Irish and international businesses face.”
Ashling Cunningham, CIO, Irish Life and member of the independent judging panel added: “The enthusiasm demonstrated by the Tech Excellence Awards show the strength and depth of the IT industry and how it has reached into all walks of our lives, giving enormous benefits to individuals and companies.”
“We are delighted to be returning to the Royal Marine Hotel for what is already looking to be a exciting evening recognising the achievements of the IT sector,” said TechCentral.ie editor Niall Kitson. “At TechCentral.ie we report on the companies making the news and at the Tech Excellence Awards we get a chance to literally put them on the stage and accept some hard-won plaudits. It’s a night for marking progress, renewing ties and making a few new ones. Our three new awards categories prove that nothing stays still in our industry and we are all the better for it.”
