Tech Excellence Awards 2023 winner recap: the people at the head of the table

The annual Tech Excellence Awards, return to the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire on 23 May. This week we look at the headline winners at last year’s big night out.

CIO of the year

Winner: Des Morley, An Post

Des has evolved technology and digital significantly within the company driving both revenue technology and digital innovation.

Des Morley of An Post receives the CIO of the year award from Phil Clapperton, Magnet+

Des has enabled real digital transformation aligned with the overall business strategy and has successfully implemented the way the entire organisation embraces and is equipped to drive the change.

Company of the year

Winner: CWSI

Founded in 2010 and already the recipient of numerous Awards from within and outside the IT industry. The last 12 months have seen an aggressive growth plan unfolding at CWSI.

Backed by new funding which has helped with key acquisitions, and the launching of new services in a quest to become one of Europe’s leading providers of cloud and mobile security services. After taking over AVR in the UK in 2021 they acquired Blaud in the Netherlands, then Mobco in Belgium. CWSI now has one of Europe’s largest teams of enterprise mobility and security experts.

Person of the year

Winner: Sandra Healy, Inclusio

Inclus.io founder Sandra Healy is an organisational psychologist and NLP master practitioner. Over 15 years she has championed and driven diversity and inclusion practice across industry and is considered one of the leading experts in diversity and inclusion.
