The company of the year award at the 2015 Tech Excellence Awards went to connectivity and ICT solutions provider Viatel. Based in Blanchardstown and employing 150 people, Viatel leverages an extensive portfolio of voice, cloud, managed services and data solutions. It has a wholly-owned European fibre and data centre infrastructure connecting eight countries, 35 cities and over 150 European data centres.
Viatel’s offers more than 200 different product solutions for customers backed up by two dedicated network operations centres and a 24-hour helpline allowing its team of engineers to respond to any service difficulties. The company is ISO 27001:2005 certified (the international standard for information management systems) and was nominated for awards at the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards and Global Carrier Awards in 2014.
Its clients include Grant Thornton, Liberty Insurance, Workday, Bar One Racing, and Applegreen.
