Cork based security and data protection specialist Smarttech has agreed a partnership with the carrier neutral Cork Internet eXchange (CIX) to provide secure cloud server back-up and disaster recovery solutions.
Digital data is growing massively each year, putting pressure on traditional backup solutions, which can be expensive and can fail causing organisations data loss. As organisations are increasingly accepting of cloud-based back-up and disaster recovery tools to protect critical data and business operations, the new partnership will allow the companies to bring their respective expertise to a rapidly growing market.

CIX will offer Smarttech Cloud Back-up and Cloud Disaster Recovery services with the benefit of their data being protected in the CIX Data Centre in Cork. The partnership offers organisations the ability to protect servers with non-stop back-up to a secure, high availability data centre. They will also receive recovery services with Smarttech’s industry recovery team, within agreed service-level agreements.
