New deals for Espion
LAN Communications has chosen Espion as its distribution partner for AEP systems. This follows the appointment of Espion as the official distributor for Irish-based AEP Systems in Ireland. Espion has in turn nominated LAN Comms as a Gold reseller.
During the summer, Irish security distributor, Espion gathered together a number of Irish based security specialists, of which AEP Systems was a key partner.
Espion has nominated LAN Communications as a Gold reseller in respect of the knowledge base in AEP products and the overall security knowledge within the company. LAN Communications’ personnel have attended many of Espion’s leading edge security training sessions and hacker seminars.
LAN Communications, which already had a direct relationship with AEP, will initially concentrate on sales into the corporate and government markets. Neil Wisdom, sales director, said it would make ‘a pleasant change to be able to offer our local customers a very strong Irish produced product set as opposed to the more normal imported solutions’.
Meanwhile, in a separate deal, Espion also appointed Complete Network Technology as a Silver partner for the Fortinet range of security software.
Complete Networks, an independent network service professional company, offers network infrastructure building, upgrading, enhancing and security services.
‘Becoming a Silver partner of Fortinet means we can offer our customers integrated antivirus, firewall and intrusion detection and prevention services to protect their network resources against viruses, worms, intrusions, as well as to limit the scope and effect of traffic surges caused by network attacks,’ said Ray Hill, director of Complete.
Fortinet Antivirus Firewalls are based on architecture designed specifically to deliver application layer security and content processing services, in addition to network layer services, in real time.
