MicksGarage.com takes European e-commerce award
Irish e-commerce company MicksGarage.com won a significant European e-commerce award last night at the European Online Retail Forum Awards in Barcelona. The Dublin-based company beat out competition from Shop Direct Ireland, Matchesfashion.com and Amazon Prime in the e-commerce site of the year category.
Co-founder Michael Crean picked up the award, the second major European e-commerce accolade for MicksGarage.com this year. Earlier this summer the company won the gold in the entrepreneurial category at the European eCommerce Awards.
“We’re delighted to pick up this prestigious award, which is testament to the hard work of the entire team. We continue to invest our time and resources in improving our technology and creating an eCommerce website which delivers for customers,” said Crean.
“MicksGarage is a technology company, and as we expand across the world, awards such as these are an endorsement for the development expertise and talent within the company.”
Founded 10 years ago, MicksGarage.com employs almost 50 people between its office in Park West and distribution centre in Krakow, Poland.
The company has a turnover of €11 million and ships over 18,000 car parts and accessories to over 100 countries every month.
