Liberty IT and Galway City Museum have unveiled a pilot programme supporting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) learning for junior cycle students.

Laura Mackin, director of communications & marketing, Liberty IT, said: “At Liberty IT, we foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and problem-solving and are deeply invested in making a positive impact on the Galway community. We are committed to supporting education and as part of this we are thrilled to announce the creation of a new and exciting collaborative workspace at Galway City Museum, designed to connect technology with the museum experience… This partnership follows the hugely successful STEAM Studio which we created and launched in the Ulster Museum in Belfast earlier this year and to date, over 1,000 school children have had the opportunity to avail of this unique workshop.”

Eithne Verling, director of the Galway City Museum, said: “Galway City Museum welcome this innovative and important project. The partnership with Liberty IT reinforces the museum’s commitment to educational engagement and connecting the community with its cultural resources.”
