Lack of forward planning on AI could be a fatal competitive disadvantage
A lack of clarity on how and where to use artificial intelligence could be the diference between a successful or a defunct organisation. Such is the question being explored in the next TechBeat survey in association with Storm Technology.
“Where three years ago AI was synonymous with Big Data, and dashboards, now we’re looking at dialogue boxes and large language models,” said TechCentral.ie editor Niall Kitson.
“The advent of ChatGPT has democratised AI to the point where all you need to know is the right question to ask. Where three years ago statisticians were the owners of data science, today we have ‘prompt engineers’ getting the same insights with a different skill set. This should be good news but businesses still seem to be missing out on getting the competitive advantages that artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation can offer. This survey will shed light on the reasons why some organisations are moving with the times, and others are putting themselves at risk.”
