The Irish arm of European Internet shop Komplett has launched an official price matching campaign against retail chains. The move marks another salvo in the war between high street and online traders to win over price-conscious consumers.

“Komplett is already delivering vastly superior value compared to its retail competitors, as our price comparisons have shown time and time again,” said Aaron McKenna, country manager for Ireland. “We’re not talking about the difference of a few euros on products, we’re talking about differences of 40% and upwards on the price of many products.”

Komplett also recently launched payment at its Pick Up Point in Blachardstown in Dublin, which allows customers to order online and pay for their item at the counter when they receive it. Customers can pay by either Visa, Mastercard or Laser.

“This will remove any qualms customers may have about making purchases online, as no money leaves their hands until we hand them the product in the pick up point,” said Ross Callaghan, Pick Up Point manager for Komplett.ie
Customers who order to the Pick Up Point before 1pm will receive their item in two working days, or three working days if the order is placed after 1pm.
