It@cork and KerrySciTech have announced that tickets are on sale for the annual Leaders Awards, which will take place on Friday 4 November in the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork. This years marks a return to in-person event for the first time since 2019.

For more than 15 years, it@cork’s Leaders Awards have recognised those who have excelled in the technology sector in the South-West region of Ireland, from notable multinationals and disruptive start-ups to ground-breaking individuals and emerging companies. This year’s Leaders Awards are being run jointly with KerrySciTech. In July 2022 it@cork and KerrySciTech formed a strategic partnership to collaborate and strengthen the tech and wider business ecosystem across Cork and Kerry. 

“We are extremely excited to return to in-person awards and proud to be co-organising the 2022 event with KerrySciTech. Every year, we are so impressed by the calibre of finalists and winners, and we are sure this year will be no different,” said it@Cork chairperson Gillian Bergin.

“As we are returning in person, this year’s awards will also be a fantastic opportunity to catch up with our peers, network and connect, and celebrate the achievements, innovations and advances of the region’s tech sector throughout 2022.” 

The award categories include start up of the year, scale up of the year, MNC of the year, excellence in education, smart technology innovation, it@cork Skillnet best learning workplace, diversity, inclusion & Ssocial impact, person of the year, and chairperson award.

The excellence in education award winner will get €5,000 to promote STEM activities within their school for teachers and students.
