In conversation with Patrick Jordan, chief revenue officer, Logicalis Ireland
How did you win such a prestigious award in a very competitive sector?
Logicalis is a digital transformation enabler and cloud managed service provider. Our focus is to deliver digital transformation outcomes by providing lifecycle technology solutions to deliver on the business objectives of our clients. Together with technology partners, Logicalis provides regional and globally unique capabilities and knowledge with a local level of understanding and execution.
What kind of challenges are you helping your customers face?
As Architects of Change™, Logicalis’ focus is to design, support, and execute customers’ digital transformation by bringing together their vision with its technological expertise and industry insights. The company, through its deep knowledge in key IT industry drivers such as Security, Cloud, Data Management and IoT, can address customer priorities such as revenue and business growth, operational efficiency, innovation, risk and compliance, data governance and sustainability.
In an era of accelerated digital transformation, we have seen an increased demand for hybrid and remote operations with applications and IT environments moving to the cloud and enabling people to connect and collaborate with anyone, at any time, on any device.

As an Azure Expert MSP, we are in the top 1% of Microsoft Azure partners globally. We help customers maximise and amplify benefits achieved through Microsoft products and solutions. As a globally managed partner, our strategic partnership with Microsoft allows us to jointly invest, co-innovate and deliver future-facing initiatives, to create targeted high-value solutions for customers.
Secure OnMesh is our managed cloud hosted security service which draws on the combined benefits of Microsoft technologies and Logicalis expertise to:
- Collaborate without boundaries in a secure modern workspace
- Assess processes to align with organisations’ security needs
- Protect, detect and respond to threats leveraging advanced threat protection
- View threats and alerts in real time via the Cloud-Native Managed SIEM service
What kind of customers do you work with?
Over the past 24 months, we have helped multiple high-profile organisations secure their operations and create opportunities. Our customer base spans a number of sectors including finance, retail, manufacturing, professional services, education, government and healthcare.
Delivering results relies on our experienced team which is continually growing. Currently, it consists of more than 6,500 employees at group level and 65 employees in Ireland. In addition to local expertise, the Logicalis Group has created Centres of Excellence to leverage our global footprint and skills across various markets. This enables us to accelerate the value we bring to customers using new digital technologies such as data and analytics, software, security, AI, hybrid cloud and IoT.
Give us an example of a recent customer success
Recent customers include an Irish multinational retailer. We modernised its business-critical loyalty programme by creating an associated app which built in a secure cloud environment. After aligning on requirements through a series of workshops with the customer, we defined a structure based on Microsoft Azure and a secure landing zone, incorporating Azure Sentinel.
We then transformed the approach, launching a scalable agile solution to form the base architecture for the programme and providing ongoing security support as a managed service. This means that the company can be scalable without sacrificing on security.
Recent customers include a data analytics solutions provider, we delivered real value with its integrated security managed service, Secure OnMesh. As well as accelerating the customer’s time to market with a scalable and agile security foundation, we helped to limit the organisation’s exposure to risk by enhancing its control and security around data, and reduce its overheads through the delivery of a single dashboard which is centrally operated and managed.
We also digitally transformed the IT environment and approach of a customer working in the financial services sector to deliver greater flexibility, productivity and security for the organisation. The Dublin-based firm, which has a global presence, provides a range of financial services including financial reporting and transaction services, insurance and reinsurance, and investment management. Logicalis Ireland rolled out Microsoft Azure as the new cloud solution, alongside Check Point security technology and its Secure OnMesh managed service support offering as part of the digital transformation project.
Another customer, global eCommerce platform ESW (eShopWorld) sought a cloud security strategy to live up to the payment card industry’s standards. ESW partnered with us to pursue a solution to support the modernisation of its technology and ensure adherence to Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and governance requirements. Through a three phased onboarding approach, we implemented a solution that rapidly captured anomalies and detected threats. With its PCI service transitioned to Secure OnMesh (formerly LogiGuard), ESW looks forward to expanding this show-stopping security solution throughout its business.
So a global presence, but local execution?
We serve 10,000 customers worldwide, with a physical presence in 27 countries. However, we also have an experienced and expert team in Ireland with local market knowledge, which consistently delivers digital transformation projects for a wide range of customers, to make the complex simple and support business objectives through the right technologies. Our employees have expertise in transformation across industries as diverse as financial services, banking, healthcare, government, manufacturing and more.
