E-Mit Solutions has been awarded social media partner of the year at the annual global Dell Partner of the Year Awards.

The awards took place as part of Dell World 2015  in Austin,Texas. The event recognised partners from around the world that delivered outstanding results for Dell through sales growth, marketing and lead generation, technical training and proactively promoting Dell in business activity.

Earlier this year, E-Mit became the first company to deliver Dell SonicWall’s Solution-as-a-Service to the Irish market. E-Mit has increased its customer base significantly with its new Firewall-as-a-Service offering, which incorporates the full suite of SonicWall security solutions backed by E-Mit’s management, monitoring and support services.

Speaking at the Awards, E-Mit founder and managing director Eamon Moore said: “The power of social media and the impact it can have on business is tremendous. E-Mit’s relationship with Dell spans back as far as 2003 when we first launched, and in recent times social media has helped it grow from strength to strength.

“Michael Dell retweeted a blog post by E-Mit, which led to a string of e-mails, connections, a monthly conference call with Dell’s social media and digital marketing teams in Texas and across Europe, and huge growth within our social media channels. This reflects the power a single interaction on this still relatively new business tool can have on a company’s success. We embrace social media as a platform that supports the promotion of our business and the solutions we offer.”

Aongus Hegarty, president of Europe, Middle East & Africa at Dell, added: “Our relationship with E-Mit is a long term one that goes back to the company’s launch in 2003. In that time we’ve seen E-Mit grow and develop and it became obvious to us that this company is quite unique when it comes to the use of social media.”
