Conscia enters Irish market with PlanNet21 acquisition

Cyber security and networking solutions provider Conscia has acquired PlanNet21 Group, parent company to PlanNet21 Communications, Agile Networks, and eCom Solutions. Financial details of the deal were not revealed, which is yet to be passed by regulators.

The purchase marks Conscia’s entry into the Irish market and is its 20th across eight European geographical markets including Denmark, Germany, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the UK. It is owned by sector-specialised private equity investor Nordic Capital.

The combined current business is expected to generate revenue in excess of €700 million in 2022/23.

Headquartered in Dublin, PlanNet21 has regional offices in Cork, Galway, Belfast and Edinburgh. It has approximately 300 customers in the public sector and enterprises, primarily within the technology, media, telecom and government sectors.
