Companies still lagging behind on policies for dealing with ransomware
More than half (53%) of companies still don’t have a policy in place to deal with a ransomware attack, according to interim results of the latest TechBeat survey in association with Rubrik.
The finding comes in advance of the Zero Trust Summit, taking place on 11 May at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Golden Lane, Dublin.
The day-long event will feature experts from Microsoft, Kontex, Rubrik and a special address from Ryder Cup-winning golfer Paul McGinley.
Also speaking will be CIO of AIB Tim Hynes, who will give a technical overview of a cyber attack and the recovery effort. Chris Armitage from Colchester University will also share his direct experience of a ransomware attack and what it took to get back online.
In a first for Ireland, the Save The Data experience will take a select audience through a simulated ransomware attack, managing an incident response through teamwork and communication.
The survey remains open until 10 May. To take part click here. One lucky respondent will win an Apple Watch SE.
