Irish office solutions provider Bryan S Ryan has signed a distribution pact with Canon which will see it supplying the manufacturer’s specialist large format printers (LFPs). These are for general use, computer-aided design (CAD) and geographical information systems (GIS).
The deal is part of a new focus by Canon on sales of LFPs in the Irish market, according to Maurice Teague, head of Canon business solutions in Ireland. “Canon is intent on increasing its market share in the area of LFP in Ireland,” said Teugue.
Ryan merged last year with document integration equipment specialist Office Evolutions Group, Canon’s largest business partner in Ireland, enabling Ryan to sell Canon’s multifunctional devices (MFDs), document solutions and professional print ranges.
Teague said Canon’s relationship with Ryan has been a considerable success for both businesses. “We already sell a number of other ranges through Bryan S Ryan, and expanding on that was an important next step in what is a broader move by Canon to grow sales via valued reseller partners.”
Bryan S Ryan director David Taylor said: “We are delighted to be able to add the very impressive Canon Large Format range to our portfolio. Both Canon and Bryan S Ryan recognised an untapped market for this kind of equipment, and we will be using our channels and expertise to promote the range as strongly as possible.”
Ryan has been supplying business solutions since 1948.
