Bord na Móna opens entries for start-up accelerator
Bord na Móna is looking for early-stage companies involved in developing products and services based on green innovation is encouraged to joins its Accelerate Green programme.
Bord na Móna has undergone a significant transformation from a traditional peat-based business to a progressive climate-solutions focused company. In the past year they have invested more than 90% in areas such as renewable energy, land use change and the circular economy. As they redefine their role in tackling the challenges posed by the climate crisis, they are interested in partnering with leading companies and organisations to develop new approaches for climate action.
One of these approaches is Accelerate Green which is the first programme of its kind in Ireland. It was developed with Resolve Partners and is delivered in person in Boora, Co. Offaly. Over the course of the programme companies will be brought through a series of deep learning and mentoring with experts from enterprise and energy agencies, Irish corporates, research networks, investors and successful business leaders as well as access to Bord na Móna’s commercial expertise and knowledge.
Previous companies that have successfully taken part in Accelerate Green include Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd, GoEve, Real Leaf Farm, EpiSensor, Jones Celtic BioEnergy (JCBE) and Positive Carbon.
Closing date for entries is 2 December 2022.
