Autolaunch Racing takes two prizes at F1 in Schools world finals

Team Autolaunch Racing accepts the award for best engineered car at the 2014 F1 in Schools finals

The Irish contingent competing at the F1 in Schools world finals in Abu Dhabi took away three top prizes at an event last week. National champions Autolaunch Racing from Presentation Carlow took the prizes for best engineered car and best verbal presentation.

Overall, Autolaunch Racing ranked fifth in a global field including teams from 30 different countries.

Fusion F1, made up of members from the Irish junior category winners Renaissance Racing (also from Presentation College, Carlow) and UAE national finalists Team Tachyon, won the prize for best collaboration.

Photon Racing from Presentation College, Galway, just missed out on a placing.
