TopDriver
For: iOS

This commercial app from insurance company No Nonsense allows drivers to rate themselves on four characteristics: pace (speed), calmness, smoothness and anticipation.

After 80km of recorded driving app users can view their personal score which will indicate how closely they match the characteristics of an advanced driver on a scale of 0-100. The overall score gradually becomes consistent after 400km of driving, proving that the technology works by measuring the users underlying driving skill as opposed to a small number of isolated incidents.

The intention is to make drivers more aware of their bad habits so they can correct them. Being a commercial app there is also the option to switch insurers at a discount with additional offers subject to continued good behaviour on the road.
