Singer Peter Gabriel has routinely put himself at the front of new technology in music, from his ground breaking music videos and elaborate stage shows. Now he’s turning his hand to mobile apps with MusicTiles – a way for users to create their own remixes.

Gabriel’s own Sledgehammer and Red Rain come preloaded and there are options to buy more in-app. Let down by a lack of choice so far, but if the idea catches on it should attract more artists.

Fantom pens deal with Rams
For: Facebook

Dublin-based developer Fantom developed this online sticker app for Npower Championship side Derby County as a way to interact with the players through Derby’s Facebook page and mobile.

The app brings the traditional schoolyard game of swapping and collecting football stickers on to a Facebook platform. Fans can collect and swap online stickers of the squad, management and Derby legends and win rewards including shirts, match day tickets and stadium tours.

Mind Machine
For: Windows Phone

Something of a comedown aide for fitness freaks, Mind Machine promises to send the user into a deep state of relaxation and concentration, using rhythmic sound and flashing light to alter brainwave frequency.

It contains 15 minute stimulation programs helping you to de-stress, train your brain, enhance your creativity and relax.
