Aisling Keegan, vice president & commercial general manager at Dell EMC Ireland has been appointed the new Chair of Technology Ireland, the largest business organisation representing the ICT, digital and software technology sector.
Keegan succeeds Ericsson’ Ireland managing director Zelia Madigan.
“I am delighted to be the new Chair of Technology Ireland and I look forward to working with the other members as we look to position Ireland as a global tech leader,” said Keegan. “As the home to the top 10 born on the Web companies and as the second largest exporter of technology services in the world, Ireland is well placed to capitalise on the digital revolution.
“In an era of enormous technological change, Technology Ireland also has a responsibility to work with Irish businesses in ensuring they embrace new technological innovations to keep pace with international competition. With the digital economy estimated to be worth over $100trn by 2025, the opportunities for start-ups, scale-ups and more established players are endless.
“Over the next 12 months, I will work to bring this message to company leaders across Ireland who are planning their digital future.”
