Accenture has partnered with Faculty to help organisations in Ireland and the UK scale AI and improve performance across their enterprise. Beginning December 2023, the partnership will help Irish organisations make better decisions by connecting AI models, business processes, and decision-makers.

Accenture will become the preferred implementation partner for Frontier, Faculty’s AI operating system. The companies will use the intelligent platform to connect organisational processes, plug them into an interactive digital twin, and show the impact a decision will have across a company’s entire system.

Additionally, Accenture announced a $3 billion (€2.7 billion) investment spanning three years in its Data & AI practice. This investment will double its AI workforce to 80,000 through hiring, acquisitions, and training.

Recent research from Accenture showed the C-suite’s top concern going into 2024 is adapting to advancements in technology and innovation such as AI and automation. Organisations plan to increase levels of spending, particularly in data and AI. The collaboration with Faculty builds on Accenture’s AI leadership with more than 1,450 patents. Faculty, founded in 2014, is a UK-based provider of human-led AI solutions, assisting more than 250 customers for improved decision-making and value extraction.

Denis Hannigan, AI lead, Accenture Ireland, said: “Organisations have been catapulted into an age of intelligence and understand it’s now crucial to reinvent how they operate with AI at the core. As they navigate this new era of AI, they often struggle to establish where to start and how to progress through a complex range of decision points. Working with Faculty, we can help companies drive value from AI responsibly and help deliver on the investments that will likely define them in the next decade.”

Marc Warner, chief executive officer, Faculty, said: “AI should sit at the top of every CEO’s agenda – and businesses failing to capitalise will struggle to remain competitive. Yet few leaders truly understand how to reap AI’s benefits whilst safely managing its risks. This partnership will guide businesses through their transformation journey, resulting in safe implementation, connected processes, and human-led decision making.”
