Esri Ireland has appointed Eamonn Doyle as technology evangelist following a period of 18 years as chief technology officer.

As technology cvangelist, Doyle will be responsible for inspiring and influencing key stakeholders throughout Ireland by showcasing the transformative potential of geographic information system (GIS) technologies. In his new position, Eamonn will continue to support Esri Ireland’s technology sales and marketing functions by communicating and promoting the innovative use of Esri’s ArcGIS solutions to customers and prospects across all relevant sectors and industries.

Doyle said: “I’ve enjoyed my time as CTO at Esri Ireland, during which we have seen our technology footprint grow by orders of magnitude. ArcGIS is now the system of choice for hundreds of organisations both large and small across Ireland North and South. The recent appointment of a new head of technology, Rob Morrison, allows me to keep up the momentum with an exclusive focus on advocating externally for the powerful environmental, economic and societal benefits that our ArcGIS technology can manifest.”
