    ICS: Application security breakfast briefing

    8-9am

The Irish Computer Society, 87-89 Pembroke Road, Dublin 4

In the race to develop online services, web applications have been developed and deployed with minimal attention given to security risks, resulting in a surprising number of corporate sites that are vulnerable to hackers. At this breakfast briefing, find out what vulnerabilities are being exploited and how to avoid falling victim to them. To keep things interesting demonstrations of common vulnerabilities will be given along with demonstrations of the tools and techniques used to identify them. After this briefing you will never trust your browser or the Internet again!

Speaker: Stephen Morrow, principal consultant, SQS Group

Stephen is a specialist in secure application design, development and testing, and has full lifecycle security and development experience in a variety of major Information Technology projects across the financial, private and public sectors. He is responsible for leading SQS’ security testing practice and defining SQS security testing methodologies.

Having over 12 years dedicated security experience delivering a wide range of application security services to a variety of sectors in-line with CESG CHECK, OWASP and ISO27001 Standards, Stephen is a recognised expert in his field.
